Travel Diary: Beautiful British Columbia

Beautiful British Columbia - Living McCormick

Beautiful British Columbia - Living McCormick

This year for President’s Day weekend, we went up north. My father took us to beautiful British Columbia. Now, we’ve been to large B.C. cities like Vancouver and Victoria, but this time around we went to smaller towns none of us had ever been to. And they were stunning.

We stayed in Ainsworth and experienced the hot springs. If you aren’t familiar with Ainsworth Hot Springs, please check it out here.  It was one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve ever had in my life.

We took the world’s longest free ferry, tried new foods, and met some of the nicest people. Me being the foodie that I am, I’m still not over the veggie burger I had at the restaurant. It was just the mini vacation we all needed, and I seriously can’t wait to go back.

On our last day, we were walking around downtown Nelson, and had the most amazing breakfast at The Hume Hotel.

After breakfast, I spotted a music shop and I said to my dad,

“I think I’m going to buy a guitar here”.

And…let’s just say, the guitar sounds lovely. Final thoughts on the vacation: great things happen in Canada.

  1. Wow, so beautiful! I’ve been up to the larger cities before but haven’t made a stop yet to the smaller cities yet. Ainsworth will be next on the list 🙂
